Catherine Rowe

Catherine Rowe is a British designer of luxury wares for the home & accessories. Inspired largely by her love of nature and wildlife, Catherine‘s designs are traditional and classic with a contemporary edge.

All of Catherine‘s work is handmade in the UK and hand-finished by Catherine herself. Catherine‘s production partner is a small company based in London working with responsibly sourced materials and ecological inks. Her work has also been published as greetings cards, phone covers, postal stamps and much more.

In 2019, Catherine won the Liberty Open Call for a new iconic Liberty fabric design. The winning design was launched in-store and online in May 2019.

Cally Conway
Art Tutor and Linocut Artist

Cally is an art teacher by day and linocut artist by night, well regarded in the printmaker world for the intricate detail she achieves. She is an obsessive when it comes to the natural world, spending a lot of her spare time in Kew Gardens sketching.  Her prints are inspired by the great outdoors as well as folklore.  The essence of her work focuses on the beauty of nature and its place within our world. 

Cally has designed two textiles for Cocoon Home that launched in September 2018 at Decorex International.

Kristyna Baczynski
Illustrator & Comic Book Artist
Kristyna Baczynski is an award winning illustrator, comic book artist and designer with a global following. She has won the Northern Design Award, Northern Sequential Art Competition, has had her works nominated twice for the British Comic Awards, and her comic ‘Hand Me Down’ was nominated for Best Short at the 2016 Eisner Awards. Her work has had press features in The Guardian, Digital Arts and Forbidden Planet (to name a few).  As well as (selected) clients that include the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Metro, Etsy and Chipotle, Kristyna sells her comics, prints and zines on her popular Etsy shop.
With her design influences rooted in the folklore of her Ukrainian heritage and the historic tales of her home county, Yorkshire, Kristyna’s textiles will inject a new style of artwork to the market.

India Rose Bird
Woodcut Artist & Surface Pattern Designer

India is a graduate of the prestigious Leeds College of Art.  Scouted by Angela on Instagram, India produces intricate wood carvings, focusing her style on folk lore and cultural practices and celebrations, such as the masquerade. 

India’s designs are not only beautiful, but straddle both the adult and children’s market.  With their mythical qualities and story-tell feel, Cocoon Home is extremely excited to champion a new and talented designer.

Megan Hindley
Street, Mural & Fine Artist

Megan is a versatile artist known on the scene as Stedhead. An illustration graduate of Glyndwr University, Megan returned to her home the Isle of Man after university to develop her art. In September 2014, she moved to London and has since exhibited at the ICA with artist and DJ, Goldie, alongside Jamie Reid and Mau Mau at Eddie Locks The Lock Up exhibition, at Juno in Shoreditch, at the Portobello Film Festival and the D&AD awards at the Truman Brewery. She has been part of an East End all-female art collective and has painted many large artworks for various events and produced art for public spaces and for cafes, restaurants and shops around Britain and abroad. Megan is also a resident tattooist at Velvet Underground in London, where you can get yourself inked with her signature style, or commission somethings entirely new for your body.

Megan’s designs for Cocoon Home will be her very first textile collection.

Nancy Straughan
Lifestyle Blogger & Surface Pattern Designer

Nancy is already an established textile designer, award winning lifestyle blogger and copywriter. Established in 2013, Nancy produces beautiful fabrics and home products.  Her designs focus on combining classic sophistication with uncompromising attention to detail.  Nancy is inspired by the motifs seen in Scandinavian and 1950s textiles and her creations are simple, refreshing and contemporary. Nancy’s range for Cocoon Home draws on abstract designs of the 1920s and 1930s.

Izzy Williamson
Linocut Artist & Surface Pattern Designer

Izzy is a Leeds College of Art alumni who was discovered on Instagram. She specialises in linocut and is a regular on the craft fair scene, selling her hand pressed prints. Her work is inspired by mythology, storytelling and being at one with nature. Izzy has an excellent eye for colour and her work uses a rich colour palette that will transform any interior into a place that feels very special.
